The anticipation of having the chance to spend a day at ARIA Spa in Las Vegas was more exciting than my actual arrival into the city. The spa is located in one of the most visually appealing and sexy architectural structures that I have seen. Positioned in the City Centre, it is also surrounded by some of the most luxurious stores. As I entered ARIA, I was instantly amazed by its brightness, beautiful design, and pleasant staff. I quickly shopped at the boutique—strategically located at the front entrance of the 80,000-square-foot structure—available to spa and salon visitors.
After registering my name at the front desk, I was then asked to proceed to the elevator across from the concierge. As I passed the gym, I could only think of my own gym in Toronto and of the great food that I had been indulging in over the last 5 days. The thought of going to the gym while in Las Vegas quickly flitted through my mind, but just as quickly, it was gone.
ARIA Spa is nothing short of exquisite, with grand facilities and treatments to pamper even the pickiest of spa connoisseurs. I was extremely impressed with the great customer service and the bounty of products for that “just in case” moment when you realize you have forgotten to shave your legs or brush your teeth. At any time, I was able to retreat into the private area, where tea, coffee, fresh lemonade, and fruit were available for a light snack. As I strolled through the women’s private corridors, peacefully adjusting to my new surroundings, a feeling of happiness and contentment raced through my body. For the remainder of the afternoon, I was amazed at how quiet it really was. I found myself indulging in ARIA’s concept of complete solitude and serenity.
I thenThen I escaped to the rooftop patio of ARIA—the only part of the spa that is co-ed. The patio features one single pool that overlooks the mountains in the far distance and plays host to the very entertaining parties that are accompanied by a DJ spinning the latest tunes. It was here that I decided that my two-hour spa visit would be lasting a little longer then I had originally thought.
ARIA’s services range from facials, to massages, to hot-oil scalp treatments, to the luxurious, exfoliating salt scrub. Prices are more than affordable, and I would suggest booking an appointment in advance, as spots do fill up quickly—this is Las Vegas after all.
My visit to ARIA certainly fulfilled my need to feel pampered for just one day; the visit was a great reminder that rest and relaxation were just what the doctor ordered.
