Tao Te Ching taught, "Whatever is flexible and flowing will tend to grow, whatever is rigid and blocked will wither and die.”

The secret to success lies within each of us.  This is a powerful truth, but how may we tap into the enabling force we hold inside?  We need to take the time to care for ourselves, to nurture ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually.  We also need to embrace a life of ongoing learning, and open ourselves to new possibilities.  Now is the time to go with the flow.

One path to realizing is using yoga as a practice, which is beneficial to anyone and everyone.  It may be easily adapted to accommodate your capabilities, and offer challenges appropriate to your level.  This is multi-faceted and deepens your understanding of how the body, mind, and spirit are connected.

As exercise, yoga builds strength, flexibility and muscle tone.  As well as teaching better breathing techniques and improving cardiovascular and circulatory health.  The regular dedicated practice helps to maintain a balanced metabolism, and enhances energy and vitality.  Yoga also teaches relaxation techniques, which allow you to unwind, recharge and enjoy deeper sleep patterns.  Positive thinking, self-inquiry and self-acceptance are encouraged.  Practice frequently, and you will feel more energized and motivated.  Through meditation, it relaxes the mind, attains calmness and finds clarity.

As an empowering practice, yoga creates a path to a stronger, more aware and more in tune self.  It heightens your perception of the connection between your own consciousness and the universal consciousness.  This in turn will improve your focus and concentration.  This will help you to create positive changes in your work, relationships and other aspects of your life

Yoga can equip you, with the tools to respond in an empowered and responsible manner, to the daily situations that you face.  You will notice that this will become a way of life, as you evolve in your practice, and understand more about the philosophy that informs Yoga.

To assess if you are ready for a yoga practice, think about each of these questions:

  1. Do you want to improve your general health, and well-being?
  2. Do you want to feel more empowered to handle life’s daily stresses?
  3. Do you want to embrace a more holistic lifestyle?
  4. Do you want to learn more about the interdependence of your body, mind and spirit?
  5. Do you want to live a balanced life?

If you answered ‘”yes” to any of these questions, you are at a good point to begin your transformational journey!  Look for a studio in your area, and make inquiries about classes for people new to the wonderful world of Yoga.

Enjoy your journey & Go With The Flow.  Namaste.
